Description

The Two Rivers Elementary School Safe Room was a project for the Two Rivers School District in Ola, Arkansas.  The 2,831 sq. ft. addition, designed to accommodate up to 350 people, serves as a FEMA P-361 Safe Room for tornadoes and hurricanes, as well as a multi-purpose/physical education space for the elementary school.  Accessory spaces included an office/first aid room, boys and girls restrooms, and a custodial/electrical room.  Construction, contracted through Crow Construction, consisted of 12 inch reinforced concrete masonry units and a 6 inch reinforced concrete roof slab.

Construction was completed in January 2019.
