Rye Hill Baptist Church – New Sanctuary

Rye Hill Baptist Church – New Sanctuary

We were extremely happy to be selected as the Architect to work with such a great client Rye Hill Baptist Church on their new Sanctuary addition in Fort Smith, AR. The design team has been working hard the past few months on a master plan of their entire campus, developing the design, and are now in the construction document phase of the project. We are planning for a construction start date in the Early Fall of 2016 and Completion in the Fall 0f 2017.

Inspiration for the design has been heavily influenced from the Church’s main vision as being the “Lighthouse on the South side of Fort Smith”. We are hopeful the church design will help attract church visitors and ultimately help the church grow with its great visibility right off of Highway 71 South. The exterior materials will help tie the Sanctuary addition to the existing building but also add new materials and design elements that will give the Church an updated image for the future.

The addition will include an 800 Seat sanctuary with interior risers, Choir rehearsal room, Pastor’s Office and Conference Room, Foyer, new Restrooms, and Baptistry Changing/Restrooms. The scope of work will also include remodel of some existing classrooms into nursery rooms near the addition so that they may be closer to the Sanctuary for parental convenience.

We were pleased to get to present these ideas to the Church body in late March and appreciated the positive feedback and questions from the Congregation. The project team looks forward to completing the drawings soon and seeing this Sanctuary start to come to life.
